He earned a BA from McGill University and an MBA from HEC. He began his career in private banking with Julius Baer before moving to investment banks Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch. In 2005, he co-founded Paladyne, the first private cloud-based solution for the hedge fund industry, used by the top 200 hedge funds, fund administrators and prime brokers. In 2011, Paladyne was acquired by Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:BR) for over US$75 million. Vlad Agranov – CTO
Vlad leads product and technology design for Datasynthesis. Vlad has extensive knowledge of data management technology in financial markets. This was gained through many years’ experience of successfully applying this technology to data operations, data governance and data quality management at large institutions. Whilst working at Paladyne, Vlad designed and built the company’s Enterprise Reference Data Services ASP. After the acquisition of Paladyne by Broadridge, he architected the core Broadridge Managed Data Service Platform offering. Vlad has proven subject matter expertise of enterprise data strategy, big data technology and cloud-native architecture design. Knowledge of what is now possible using a modern data architecture was one of his key motivations in founding Datasynthesis in 2018 with Christian Robertson.
Brian heads up the EMEA office of Datasynthesis, based in London. He has worked in financial markets technology for over 30 years, starting his career in the equity derivatives group of JPMorgan London in 1993 after completing his PhD at Imperial College.
